Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday will have surgery on Thursday to repair a broken hamate bone in his right hand and will miss opening day.

Francisco Lindor, Jackson Holliday and Corbin Carroll have all recently suffered hamate bone injuries, putting their status in doubt for MLB Opening Day and bringing a lot of questions with them.

Lindor underwent surgery on Wednesday and will miss the next six weeks while he recovers.
