After some possible showers overnight from Friday into Saturday, snow will start on the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 17, lasting from around 2-4 p.m. to 9-10 p.m. In the Seacoast, including Rye, Hampton, Exeter and Portsmouth, there is a chance the snow will turn to rain around 7 p.m.
The NWS has issued various warnings to the state of New Hampshire concerning the upcoming snowstorm, including a winter storm watch and a cold weather advisory for the entire state. Off the Seacoast, the NWS has issued a gale warning and a freezing spray advisory, warning that hazardous seas will reduce visibility and damage vessels.
