NASA scrubs moon crew launch to March after hydrogen leak chaos
NASA’s first crewed return to the vicinity of the Moon in more than half a century has slipped again, this time from an early February target to a no-earlier-than March launch window, after a hydrogen leak disrupted a critical fueling test.
NASA’s first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years won’t be getting underway this month after all. It had been targeting February 6 for the launch of the much-anticipated Artemis II mission that will take four astronauts on a flight around the moon,
NASA plans to test the planned leak repair with a second dress rehearsal fueling test later this month.
After a Crew-11 member aboard the ISS developed a medical concern on Jan. 7, NASA officials accelerated their return home to Earth by about a month.
